Quasi-Motion™ Servo Controlled Tipper Platforms

The Quasi-Motion Tipper Platform model

This rugged, cost effective tipping platform adds bank and pitch motion to the simulation experience.  Using heavy duty fluid filled rubber bellows and servo controlled electric pumps, the Quasi-Motion platform offers a simple, effective tipping system that runs on common household power.

Still in early development and prototyping, projections for Quasi-Motion tipper platforms place them in the $8,000 to $20,000 price range depending on size, load, and other variables. If you would like more information about the Quasi-Motion product line, please join our list.

Our Prototype Working with Flight Sim X

Reading pitch and roll data from Flight Sim X via Microsoft Sim Connect our platform vibrates and tilts as the aircraft changes attitude.

A centrally balanced frame allows the Quasi-Motion design to support heavy loads and use a low pressure system moving fluid between two actuators in a closed loop (no reservoir required).

The system design may be easily scaled up for larger platforms such as full cockpits or train cabs.

On this prototype, the top monitor displays the typical game screen, while the lower monitor displays the MFD and gauges through our Monitor Mask controllers.

We built this prototype using controls and The Pilots Seat from First Class Simulations.
