The ReDAC Input / Output Module offers simulation developers easy access to the state of 46 switches and 23 potentiometers and output to 24 low current components. The outputs are suitable for lighting LEDs, triggering optic relays, or actuating any low current device.

The hardware provides a reliable link between the controls and the computer and our free Software Development Kit offers straight forward tools to tie the data to your application.

Typical Application

The ReDAC I/O Module connecting a full sized locomotive control stand to a PC, projection monitor, and speakers.

Changes in the position of levers and switches on the control stand are read by the ReDAC I/O Module and sent to the PC.

The P.I. Engineering SDK shows the software developer where to receive and send live data from and to the ReDAC.

The simulation software takes input from the ReDAC, drives the monitor and sound system, and triggers indicator LEDs as warning signals on the control stand.

A separate ReDAC Gauge Module translates data on pressure and electric current from the simulator to the gauges.
