PS/2 X-keysThe most common problem we encounter with the PS/2 X-keys is people looking for software to use with it. The PS/2 X-keys simply records keystrokes from the keyboard. No software is needed. Instructions for programming your PS/2 X-keys are found on the back (Desktop and Professional models) or in this manual: manxkps2.pdf Another common problem is not having a keyboard plugged into the PS/2 X-keys. The PS/2 X-keys must have a PS/2 keyboard connected for programming. USB X-keysTechnical Bulletin RE: Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger)Apple has released an update, 10.4.3 (http://www.apple.com/ downloads/macosx/), which corrects the compatibility issues we experienced with previous versions. If you are using OS 10.4 (Tiger), please update to version 10.4.3, uninstall MacroWorks from the system and reinstall MacroWorks to use our X-keys devices. The most common problem with the USB X-keys is determining which version of our software you need to install. Use the table below to help you determine which version of X-keys you have. There are always exceptions to these rules, but this table will cover the vast majority of X-keys users. * Devices marked “yes” are capable of operating in “Memory Resident Mode”, using Macro Recorder software and mimicking the behavior of a PS/2 X-keys. Mouse CommandsX-keys SE devices support mouse commands via Macro Works. X-keys Foot Pedals and Switch Interface also support mouse commands on operating systems which are fully USB compatible.
